Do-it-yourself caviar manicure. I used the tutorial that Marianne posted, which you can see here. First, make sure you have the base colour you want. Pick up some microbeads from Michael’s crafts. Hint: these are by the Michael’s brand Recollections and you will find them in the scrapbooking aisle, not in the bead section. They come in individual containers or sets; I bought a small container of black. Another hint? Michael’s offers weekly coupons you can print or find on their iPhone app, which is free and usually offers 40% off one regular priced item. Paint one coat of base colour and let dry. Then paint one nail, dip gently into a Tupperware with microbeads. Use your finger to press the beads into the polish, especially around the edges. Continue one by one until complete. You can try with this with various colour combinations or ombre as Marianne did.

i’ve spent the past hour looking through rosie hardy’s photostream on flickr. her shots are all so unique but i love each one just as much as the others. my favourites are this, this and this. you can find the rest of her photos here.
ETA: i almost forgot this one!

the perfect picnic setup for spring and summer. this would actually be quite simple to create on your own. list of supplies: white netting, blanket, comfortable pillows to lay on, makeshift table, a tree (preferably in blossom), and champagne (of course). from this is glamorous.
