etsy find of the day: fashion paintings from kathryn elyse. the artist uses watercolors and ink on paper to recreate fashion looks from top designers. she sells both originals ($125-200) and prints ($20) in her etsy shop. my favourites include this louis vuitton, vivienne westwood, alexander mcqueen and tim walker. these would look excellent anywhere in your home, but i can imagine them at the end of a walk-in closet…maybe one day!
i have seen this image a half-dozen times in different places around the internet but finally tracked down the source. kari herer is the creator of this photograpy/drawing hybrid. love it.

japanese-style snack cups. they are decorated entirely by hand and are available at the louchelab etsy shop. they would be perfect to fill with blueberries to snack on while studying or working.
ten dollar drawings is a blog helmed by alicia lynn carrier, a talented artist living in portland, oregon. for just ten bucks, alicia will send you one of her original pencil drawings on a paper bag, which can then be framed and put on the wall. alicia takes requests for the paper bag drawings, and also offers her signature drawings on wooden blocks. some of my favorites are the teacup, the cupcake, and the garden gnome. these drawings would be great to have in your home or to give as gifts.
