My birthday present, the double hydrangea ring from Patrick Irla. I lusted after this ring for so long that I was wildly excited to receive it and find out that it exceeded every expectation. I was initially worried that it would be very fragile and might break easily, but it is stronger than it looks! It’s been three months—a short time, I know—and I’m never worried that I will damage it. That being said, I do remove it while washing dishes and showering. My sister received this version with the diamond for her birthday and loves it equally as much as I love mine. If you’re even considering buying a piece of Patrick Irla’s jewelry (for yourself or someone else), I say go for it. It is so well made and unique; I’ve received many compliments on it. Patrick also makes beautiful necklaces and earrings; take a look at his full selection here. Huge thanks to my partner in crime for giving me this beautiful gift!
Tiny initial pendant. From Mon Cadeau on Etsy.
The ‘one line a day journal’ is a practical idea for anyone who has ever wanted to keep a journal but failed miserably. I’ve tried in the past, but found that sometimes I had nothing that felt worthy of dragging out a journal and writing about. Problem solved with this journal from Pottery Barn. Their site summarizes it better than I can: “Each page of this journal corresponds to one day and has space for five lines so you can return to it year after year and look back on previous thoughts as you make your next entry.” Need an extra bonus? Shipping is free, making it an ideal Mother’s Day gift. Find it here.
