yoox dress round-up. in order: christian dior, d&g, J.au.g, alberta ferretti, hoss intropia, love moschino.
i think this is the type of dress i would like to wear to my university graduation (i know, i know. it’s many moons away, but when you spend as much time looking at dresses on the internet as i do, it’s nice to at least pretend you have a purpose.) i want something really fun, colourful and festive. something that i can wear again—unlike my high school graduation dress. also, i want something weather-appropriate, as the ceremony will be held in february. this is a miu miu dress from yoox. i can see wearing it with a great necklace or bracelet and unique shoes. what do you think? i am so curious: if you went to university, what did you wear to your graduation?

the pictures aren’t the best, but i love this handmade gown from etsy seller vintage opulence. unfortunately for me, this particular one is already sold, but she has also listed many other vintage and handmade dresses, gowns and corsets in her etsy store. take a peek here.
this summer, i decided to create an inspiration board. i used some photographs that i took before the world went digital (i miss the anticipation of waiting for my film to be processed), photobooth pictures, cards, etc. i included some cutouts from mary-kate olsen’s harpers bazaar shoot a few years ago. i also really fell in love with lady gaga’s vanity fair shoot. i like her as much as the next girl.. maybe a little more.. but i couldn’t narrow it down and now i have four photos of her on my board. it looks like i’m a rabid fan! i have to say, i really like the lavender hair. i have chosen to post these two (love the mcqueen gown in the first picture) instead of spamming you with nudie pics at work/school/wherever you are. if you are thinking of making an inspiration board, i highly recommend it.

this is a beautiful gown by maria lucia hohan, which would also make a fabulous wedding dress. her site is full of gorgeous silk dresses, skirts and tops. i’d like to wear this skirt during the summer time.
the most beautiful wedding gown in the world. period. ‘mystere’ by claire pettibone.
