Currently floating around in the US Postal Service system: Balenciaga dress for my university graduation in June. I can’t wait for it to arrive!

i think this is the type of dress i would like to wear to my university graduation (i know, i know. it’s many moons away, but when you spend as much time looking at dresses on the internet as i do, it’s nice to at least pretend you have a purpose.) i want something really fun, colourful and festive. something that i can wear again—unlike my high school graduation dress. also, i want something weather-appropriate, as the ceremony will be held in february. this is a miu miu dress from yoox. i can see wearing it with a great necklace or bracelet and unique shoes. what do you think? i am so curious: if you went to university, what did you wear to your graduation?

my weekly peruse of the anthropologie website brought up this little gem: the pom flower shift. i feel like if you dressed this up, it would be a good dress for a university graduation (it’s almost that time. december 2011!) there are tons of other great new additions on the site—they update every tuesday—but i’ve started just ignoring the ones that are 300+ dollars because on my student’s budget, that just isn’t going to happen! however, stay tuned because this week i am going to post a shitty iphone pic of the christmas present i received from my boyfriend, who does not have a tiny student budget. i love you boyfriend!
