Etsy find of the day: vintage 1950s dress. I absolutely adore this dress for so many reasons. The combination of colours is fantastic, while the skirt has the perfect amount of fullness. I also love the collar (it might be my favourite part) and the semi-sheer sleeves. Whoever ends up with this dress is a lucky lady.

Vintage black sheer crocheted dress. This has Free People kind of vibe; it would probably look great with a black slip underneath. From Saltwater Gypsy on Etsy.
Summer weather, where are you? I want to be wearing backless dresses, not sweaters and jeans. Stone Cold Fox lookbook image, via knightcat.
six-across bloomers from lili’s closet. this is one half of a lacy set of sleep/loungewear available from anthropologie. it would be perfect for summer days when you want to keep cool and feel beautiful!
the pictures aren’t the best, but i love this handmade gown from etsy seller vintage opulence. unfortunately for me, this particular one is already sold, but she has also listed many other vintage and handmade dresses, gowns and corsets in her etsy store. take a peek here.
i tried on this ‘victorian loves lace’ dress from free people a couple weeks ago. the fit is extremely flattering, the removable slip has a nice neckline and the little peplum shoulders are subtle. i found the lace has a slim—but not tight—fit through the sleeves and because the slip is removable, you could easily layer another color underneath for a different effect. the photos on the website, although cute, just do not do this dress justice… try it on! i tried purple, but later found out they also offer black and cream, which would make it even more difficult to choose a color. which one would you pick?
lace leggings by talula. love them, especially with those socks. images from the aritzia blog
