My well-worn good luck charm. After ten years, one arm is falling off and the other is long gone.

An evening beach shot from last week. Also, I’m impressed with the iPhone 4’s camera capabilities.

{Red silk flower; personal photo from Disneyland; “This too shall pass”; Dakota Fanning photographed by Juergen Teller; personal photo from Paris; dancing skeletons from Mexico; jewel}
Yesterday I decided to revamp my room a little bit. I bought a roll of jute for $2.50 and 50 clothespins for $1.50. I cut a length of jute, tied two knots on each end and pinned it on my wall. The clothespins are perfect for holding photographs, quotations, magazine cutouts, silk flowers, etc.
The best parts of this quick DIY? The cost. I’ve done a few more since then and I’ve used less than half of the clothespins and the tiniest bit of jute. No holes poked in my photos! I can still frame them at any time, good as new. Easy to change up on a whim. I’ve switched them up to find the best fit and they’re easy as pie to take down.

big thanks to the person who posted these all around campus. it sure was a nice reminder on what turned out to be a long, trying day.
