apparently it’s valentine’s central around here. i just keep coming across the cutest cards, like these vintage ones from the 1950s. how sweet are they?! they come in a lot of four for only one dollar. someone please buy them, because i already have one for my sweetheart this year.

etsy find of the day: owl valentines!!! who wouldn’t want to receive one of these little cuties? flashback to elementary years: making a personalized envelope to hang on the side of my desk. lots of pink, lots of red, lots of heart and doilies and shiny paper. handing around valentines—my heart always beat the fastest when giving it to the boy that i liked—and talking about who brought cinnamon hearts, candy hearts and hershey’s kisses.
at my house, my sister and i would always set up a valentines making factory to make 50 valentines for our classmates, usually the night before. looking back, what a strange holiday! for the nostalgic people of the world, maybe this little owl will remind you of those days. available from mariapalito on etsy.
